Refined as a Parent

Zechariah 13: 9
⁹  And I will put this third into the fire,
    and refine them as one refines silver,
    and test them as gold is tested.
They will call upon my name,
    and I will answer them.
I will say, ‘They are my people’;
    and they will say, ‘The Lord is my God.’”

If God doesn't refine us and our children, we will not draw closer to Him.  There are days when I know I'm far from God's model as a mother.  Thankfully He changes me and forgives my failures.  He also blesses my desire to be a better parent as a model and teacher for my children.
