Rely on God, not Worldly Strength

Isaiah 31:1
1 Woe to those who go down to Egypt for help
    and rely on horses,
who trust in chariots because they are many
    and in horsemen because they are very strong,
but do not look to the Holy One of Israel
    or consult the Lord!

I confess to being embarrassed by my children's behavior and impulsiveness in public especially.  I pray that God would always let me put my children's feelings and nurturing first, not the expectations of the world.

Isaiah 32:15

¹⁵ until the Spirit is poured upon us from on high,
    and the wilderness becomes a fruitful field,
    and the fruitful field is deemed a forest.

These Scriptures remind me to pray to be a better mom and more patient with my children.
